Leander Paes won the eighth Grand Slam title of his career, when he and his Zimbabwean partner Carla Black lifted the mixed doubles title at the us open, on Thursday night.

They beat Liezel Huber of the US and Jamie Murray of Great Britain in straight sets, winning 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Paes, incidentally, would be aiming for a double Grand Slam win, since he is also in the men’s doubles final, with Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy.

For 29-year-old Black, this is her first Grand Slam. She is currently ranked No. 1 in the world. Her previous best at the US Open was when she finished runners up in the 2000 US Open.

She has won the wimbeldon doubles event thrice and the Australian Open once.

The Indian, with a world doubles ranking of 16, had earlier won the US Open in 2006, partnering Martin Damm in the men’s doubles event.

Well dark knight have smashed the box office heavily, now the focus shifts to next one the BATMAN 3.Already lots of prediction and guesses about who the next villian is? so far we seen batties premier villians “joker” and “scare crowe”then who is next.  if we take batman series there are  lots of villian’s, so the screen writter will have lots to choose.but as far as big villians are concerened “catwoman” and “penguin” tops the list after “joker”.while these discussion going on screen writer dAVID GOYER has this to say

“the baddies in Batman 3 definitely won’t be Catwoman and The Penguin”.As i mentioned earlier  they’ve got a whole raft of other villains to chose from, so why pick the two most obvious? Especially when nobody’s put Lola Lasagne in a Batman movie yet.Anyway,we have to wait another few years atmost to see what we have in batman-3………..

Sorry!!!

Sorry is the hardest word in the world, because understanding our mistake and  apologizing for that  mistake needs braveness. Its easy to do mistake, making mistakes is a human thing which no can stop but realizing it and apologizing it is a great deal. Most of us argue and quarrel with mostly useless things before we apologize. But the fact is its never easy to go along smoothly with anyone with out any argument, sometimes saying” iam  sorry” will really help.

Remember sorry will never undo the harm that one committed before but atleast it can restore some dignity of the victim. However,if some one makes mistake or make youy angr, then you can let the other person know how much you are angry or how much the other person have tested your patience but you have to know that you shouldnt put the other person down or unkind. But if you do make the other person upset, apologising right away is always a good thing. It make you feel good also even though the things wont be the same.Failing to apologise is not a sign of strength really its a sign of weakness that everyone must have to understand, anyway its in our hands saying sorry might be the hardest thing but it often makes things better- for you and other person

Dissapoinment For Indian Tennis Pair

Filed Under (olympics) by admin on 15-08-2008

Its a disappointing day for India at Olympics as the ace card Leander paes and mahesh bhupathi failing to qualify for semis. It was always going to be tough as they taking  on singles top seed roger federer and his swis partner, but  not even taking to tie breaker is a big disappointment.AS Beijing Olympics might be there last shot of a medal dream at olympics, india hoped that they will come out victories with medal but all hopes were shattered.

Both were never really on form coming to Olympics and a big ego clash made it even worst, although they qualified for quarters they never really united for a common goal and i think that is were there they failed really. But when paes was asked about his future he was really confident to play the next edition of Olympics also, lets hope that at least he make it count if he could make it to the next Olympics. But on the whole big disappointment as a indians next major chance of winning a medal was shattered.

Is Michael Phelps The Greatest Sportsman ever??????

Filed Under (olympics) by admin on 13-08-2008

There was always a question that who is the greatest sportsperson in the world. when ever this question has raised there has been lots of opinion’s and survey’s but this question still prevails at the birth of every generation. In my mind i have few carl lewis, jesse owens, roger federer, tiger woods , Michael schumacher  and the great muhammad ali ,don bradman, michael jordon, pele like that list will go on and now is the new kid on the block michael phels born on june 30,1985  and breaking records after record. His storming performance at 2004 Athens olympic has made a huge impression in international arena. He won 6 medals at athens with six gold medal and two bronze , out of the six gold medal three is olympic record and two world record and one national record, wow if you say that’s  great then what you will say his current performance at beijing, i will say its equal to magic.yes , he already won 6 gold medal and all of them is a world record,so thats a serious record break. its like a dream journey as for a phelps is concerned. After his amazing performance the question of “who is the great?” has raised again.

This kid performance has earned most of the heart around the world, but is He the greatest? well answer will be yes if he continues to break records like this.but if you ask me, i will say he already reached that spot ,because winning six gold medal and that too in world record time is something special and i doubt that any one will stop him from clinching 8 out of 8 in beijing. If he does then he is the greatest ever in the history of sports…………………..
